I love this family! Mom and I are friends, our husbands work together, and the kids are an absolute joy to be around and photograph. What a wonderful way for me to spend an evening. We went back to their house after spending some time downtown and built a quilt tent and made s’mores. Photos from that little adventure are yet to come.
My family is starting to feel settled in our new temporary housing. My parents have graciously allowed us to completely occupy 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in their house (with a bit more of our belongings sprinkled throughout the rest of the rooms). Yesterday as I was taking a break from packing/unpacking/storing I sat under the shade tree out back. The breeze was absolutely wonderful, and I thought to myself how blessed we are to have family and friends surrounding us.
Many thanks to everyone that helped us move. I was truly overwhelmed by your love and support. Your friendship is certainly not something we deserve, but rather a most blessed gift from God. Thank you.
The rest of our summer and fall is sure to be filled with bike rides (and falls – the littlest one already has scrapes on her knees), golf cart adventures (my parents have a golf cart my kids like to take all over their 5 acres of land), rests under the shade tree, picking and freezing corn, etc. Looking forward to it and hoping we don’t drive my parents crazy in the process. =)
